The Count of Monte Cristo is a favorite character of mine. I also loved Jim Caviezel's interpretation of him in the movie.

I fell in love with Kate Chopin's writing in my 30s. She broke many boundaries for female writers and her work is superb.

If you're a writer, this is a vital tool to have on hand.

McMillan writes an excellent tale of a woman's return to not just her former self but a better self.

Hands down the best depiction of a legacy of love in a relationship. This is both a favorite book and movie.

This was required reading for a class I took on poetry. The techniques in it are awesome. The author's idea of who can learn poetry, not so much. Once you get past his elitism, there's a lot of great techniques.

Bodybuilding fascinates me. I remember watching Mr. Universe competitions on ESPN in high school. The dedication and work involved to get to that level is inspirational.

Toni Morrison's story about a friendship between two women is worth every word on the page.

I took a Harlem Renassaince class and got to explore a lot of amazing African American fiction. Conjure Man Dies is one of them.

Can't go wrong with Chekov, who was a brilliant writer.

I love and hate Beowulf. I think there are parts of the story that work really well and others not so well.

This is a book I have saved on my self for a few years.

There was a time as a writer and artist that I bawked at technique, and now I appreciate it. This is an excellent book for those interested in poetry writing.

Excellent book for poets to read.

I studied under Claudia Johnson at SNHU and enjoyed everything I learned. This is a great resource for those learning to write screenplays.
